About

Hi, I'm Emma, and depending on who you ask I get called lots of things, some of the more common ones are mummy, wife, designer, that girl who makes her own stuff, illustrator, screen printer, crafter, try-er of almost anything and wine enthusiast.

I started my self-employment journey by launching Showpony in 2006, Designing and making screen printed home wears and accessories. My bags and accessories quickly became hugely popular selling in over 200 retail locations world wide including Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Whole Foods Market and Paperchase among a host of wonderful boutiques and independent stores. Its been a huge thrill as well as a massive learning experience!

I now have a huge amount of experience in selling to large companies, distributors and agents as well as managing wholesale accounts to hundreds of smaller stores in the UK and across the globe. Not forgetting the designing, manufacturing and selling of all these products.

Since creating two tiny humans of my own and relocating away from my wonderful, spacious and fully equipt studio I have taken the decision to slow down the wholesale side of my business in favour of a smaller scale direct to the customer approach which fits my lifestyle so much better right now. I have also returned to another area that I love; graphic design and branding. I love helping small companies refine their visual identity and develop their message in order to get their websites up and running and get started. I'm especially passionate about helping other mums who have shifted career since having children and want to work for themselves. I can so relate to this!

I January 2016 I started a side project as a bit of an experiment. YoYo Studio on Etsy is my printable artwork shop. I have lots of printables here inspired mostly by my two children and their enthusiasm for everything they come across. They are available here as downloads for you to print at home, work, the local copy shop or by uploading to an online print shop.

Each month I offer a new print completely free, to see this months free download click here.
